With spring weather coming that also means the potential for severe weather and a government agency is going to educate people on this issue. 

The National Weather Service is hosting several storm spotter training sessions and there are two this week in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area. The free program is a basic storm spotter training that will cover all aspects of severe weather, including what information they are looking for people to report.

The first one is tomorrow night at the Dallas County Emergency Management Office in Adel at 7pm and the other in person session will be at the Menlo Community Building on Wednesday also at 7pm with the Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Agency. The National Weather Service is also offering virtual training sessions on March 23rd and and 29th at 7pm, and March 30th at 1pm.
