The Greene County Medical Center recently announced some changes to its visitor guidelines.

The medical center has lifted its visitor restrictions and is now allowing patients to have visitors once again. Visitors are now required to continue to wear a mask and will be screened upon entry to the medical center. Visitors are also encouraged to not come to the medical center if they are feeling sick or have covid symptoms.

Patients are allowed to have more than one visitor at the same time and visitors are encouraged to continue to practice good hand hygiene. However, if someone is visiting a patient who has covid, only one visitor is allowed to be in the patient’s room and that visitor must stay in that room. Visitors are also allowed to go to the cafeteria and other areas of the medical center deemed necessary.

These changes are effective immediately and are for all departments of the medical center.
