History Boy Theatre Company in Jefferson recently announced its cast list for an upcoming summer production.
The regional theater company will be performing the musical “Rock of Ages,” which is based in the end of the 1980s in Hollywood, where an aspiring rock star takes the stage of one of the Sunset Strip’s venues to be the “next big thing.” However, German developers want to turn the area into a capitalist strip mall.
The cast includes Samantha Schmidt as Sherrie, Robby Pedersen as Dennis, Joe Kimball from Carroll will be portraying Drew, Neil Kegley from Jefferson as Stacie Jaxx, the role of Regina will be played by Christina Sparks-Rickheim, Trisha Emery will play Justice, Steve Hickle from Des Moines will play Hertz, Zander Reed from Ames is Frantz, and other cast members are Josey Weaver and Ben Parrott.
Musicians for the musical include Wes Anderson, James Hirschberg, Parker Willis and Chris Dorr. History Boy is still looking for a few individuals for some ensemble roles. Contact Rickheim at 515-370-5369 for more information. The performances will be in May.
