Today there are several opportunities in Jefferson to shop local.

Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Promotions Team Co-Chair Bonnie Silbaugh says today is the final day of the Hippity Hop Come and Shop includes over 12 retailers in Jefferson that have lots of spring-related items on hand. 

Another event happening today is at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. Silbaugh says the 4th Annual Spring VFW Veterans Vendor Show will be from 10am-4pm. She encourages everyone to check out this event.

“I love that one because you’re supporting independent sales that so what, they don’t have a storefront? But they definitely work really hard selling their independent items and it’s fun to get out there and fill a little shopping bag and get some other shopping done too.” 

Along with shopping, the Veterans Vendor Show will also include an appearance by the Easter Bunny for pictures, there is a $1 entry fee, but for kids 12 and under are free, door prizes for adults and a drawing for an Easter bunny for kids. 

Finally, Silbaugh reminds everyone of the various businesses that are a part of the Roadtrippin’ 30 with eight Jefferson businesses involved, along with others from Carroll, Arcadia, Denison and Maple River. This event is from 10am-5pm.
