The Panorama Panthers girls track and field team headed out for the Bill Miller Invitational in Van Meter on Tuesday afternoon and came away with good results.

The Panthers girls placed seventh overall out of a field of 15 teams with 41 overall team points. The Panthers girls track and field team was able to get solid performances all around with ten athletes gathering points for the Panthers throughout the meet.

Jaidyn Sellers continued her dominance in the 100m dash taking first place with a time of 12.85. Sellers already broke a school record earlier this year while also qualifying for the Drake Relays in the 100m with a time of 11.96 which is second in the entire state across all classes in times with the number one time in the state being an 11.94 from Holly Duax from Sioux City West which is a Class 4A school. Sellers time of 11.96 leads all times across Class 2A girls track and field.

During the Bill Miller Invitational there were also impressive performances from the girls 4×100 relay as the team of Zoey Hambleton, Payton Beckman, Grace Webner and Jaidyn Sellers took third place with a time of 52.70 the team of Hambleton, Beckman, Webner and Jaidyn Sellers also took first place in the 800 sprint medley relay with a time of 1:55. Also, Jazmyn Sellers and Arilyan Steenblock took fourth and sixth place in the discus respectively.

So far this year the Panorama Panthers girls track and field team is turning in a bevy of good performances even as Mother Nature continues to make things difficult for Panthers athletes.
