Last week President Joe Biden traveled to Menlo, Iowa where he announced he was lifting the ban to sell E-15 year round.

Biden wants to help reduce the price of gasoline and by allowing E-15 to be sold during the summer months, he is hoping that will be the case. U.S. Senators Charles Grassley and Joni Ernst have been pushing the President to make E-15 available all year. Grassley says it would help even more if Biden would make it a permanent law. Grassley tells Raccoon Valley Radio Biden is directly responsible for the recent $1.20 per gallon of gas increase due to some of his policy decisions.

“And those policies are stopping the XL pipeline, drilling on the north slope of Alaska, off the shore of Alaska, public lands of the United States, off the gulf coast, off Atlantic coast, putting additional restrictions on fracking and then telling the banks they don’t owe them money to the energy companies. This has put a freeze on activity at the petroleum companies to increase production.”

Grassley believes that if Biden would reverse those decisions, the price of gasoline would come back down.
