The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

During open forum, Beaver Creek Watershed Management Authority Chair Chuck Wenthold said they are looking to add 25 fields for soil health, using Cover Crop in Greene County for that.

The Board then approved a beer permit for Lakeside National Golf Club, and a purchase agreement for $75,900 with Unisyn Voting Solutions OpenElect Voting System, with the new equipment to be used in next year’s city/school board elections. They also approved the second reading and waived the third reading of a social host ordinance, along with final adoption. The new ordinance relates to individuals hosting parties with alcohol, prescription drugs and/or controlled substances are used with those under the age of 21.

Finally, the Board heard an update from Iowa Drainage District Association Representative John Torbert. He said IDDA drafted a resolution that would protect drainage districts in relation to carbon dioxide pipelines that are proposed in Iowa. The Board was interested in the resolution.
