
For youth wanting to further their skills in basketball, there is an opportunity to do so in Perry coming up soon.
Matt’s Basketball Skill Development program will run from May 3rd to June 2nd and has a cost of $35 per player. The program is split into sessions for kids in fourth and fifth grade, sixth through eighth grade and ninth through twelfth grade. The times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-6:45 p.m. for fourth and fifth grade, 6:45-7:30 p.m. for sixth through eighth grade and 7:30-8:15 p.m. for ninth through twelfth grades and the program is for both boys and girls.
The program is put on by Matt MacDougall who is a former basketball player for the University of Northern Iowa. The program will focus on improving fundamental skills such as dribbling and shooting and will take place at the McCreary Center Gym. The deadline to register is May 2nd.
