It was an up and down month of March for unemployment in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Dallas County saw a slight increase in unemployment from February to March of 0.1-percent to 2.3-percent. Guthrie County had a 0.4-percent drop in unemployment from February to March to 3.7-percent. Greene County also saw a dip from February to March for unemployment of 0.2-percent to 2.4-percent.

Iowa’s unemployment rate continues its decline of 0.2-percent from February to March to 3.3-percent. The national unemployment rate was down 0.2-percent from February to March to 3.6-percent.
