In what turned out to be a great day for soccer matches the Panorama Panthers girls and boys soccer teams battled it out against two different schools on Tuesday.

The Panthers girls soccer team got to have a home stand against the visiting Ballard Bombers on Tuesday and the girls were looking to bounce back after their first loss of the season came against the Van Meter Bulldogs in the form of a 5-0 loss the previous week.

The Panthers girls were unable to keep with with a scoring outburst from the Bombers in the second half of the match on Tuesday as the Bombers were able to put up five goals in the second half. The Panthers were able to score one goal in the first half which at the end of the first half it was tied 1-1. The Panthers girls fell to 3-2 on the season so far after the 6-2 loss to the Bombers.

The Panthers boys soccer team was looking to improve their record to 2-2 on the season after picking up their first win over Logan-Magnolia in the previous week. The Panthers boys headed to Kuemper Field House in Carroll to take on the Kuemper Catholic Knights on Tuesday and after one half of play the score was 1-0 in favor of the Panthers and the boys were able to grind out a 2-1 victory over the Knights and moved to 2-2 on the season.

Up next for both the Panorama Panthers girls and boys soccer teams will be a road trip to Stuart to take on the West Central Valley Wildcats who have a very strong program on both the boys and girls side of the sport. The Panthers take on the Wildcats of West Central Valley today in Stuart.
