The Perry Jayette softball team is wrapping up its first full week of practice with a mixture of indoor and outdoor workouts.  The Jayettes will be one of the favorites to contend for an upper conference finish as they get set for their first full year in the Heart of Iowa.  Perry returns a strong nucleus of players including future Drake infielder Lydia Olejniczak.  The left side of the infield will feature a lot of experience with both Olejniczak and Macy Killmer back at their respective positions.  Taylor Atwell and Aiden Hood bring experience to the infield while Katherine West will be the main defender in the outfield.  Perry opens up their season Monday May 23rd  at home against Nevada.
