Monday night the girls soccer team took on the Greene County Rams for a chance to continue their season, and they took full advantage of that opportunity. The Rams scored quick, to start a 1-0 lead in the first period, but head coach Michael Krawczyk said the girls didn’t let that get them down.

“We came out slow and got down quick, the girls never gave up as they tied the game just before the second half.”

The girls were able to come back against the Rams in the second half, for a final score of 3-1. The goal in the first period was made by Bella Munoz, who was assisted by Bethany Speichinger. In the second period, Beth Belden and Avery Hazen both made a goal from the middle.

The girls will travel to Des Moines Christian to take on the Lions tonight, looking for another chance to continue the season.
