Dallas Center – Grimes girls golf participated in their regional golf meet on Wednesday in Class 4A Region 1, and the Mustangs were able to find a qualifier in senior Kaylin Petrak.

Petrak was able to play one of her best rounds of the season when she needed it most, as she was able to fire off an 89. She was able to be proficient around the greens, and keep balls in play on a course that can be very difficult.

The Mustangs as a team were able to finish a respectable 4th place finish overall with a team score of 411. Laura Klaessy was able to get a 7th place finish of 93 to finish out a really good junior campaign. Kaylee Huinker gets a 114 and Josie Lampe a 115 to round out the scoring for the Mustangs.

For DCG as a team, their season is complete though it was one that saw a lot of success.

Petrak will be golfing on May 26th and 27th at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny, as she will look to put forth a strong showing at the state tournament.
