At the Panorama School Board meeting earlier this month they approved a feasibility study to possibly add a new competition gymnasium.

Superintendent Shawn Holloway says the feasibility study is meant to get the right information to the board of directors about a good location for a new competition gymnasium so they can make a sound decision in the future. Holloways explains the reason for looking at a new competition facility.

“I would say at this point the gym we play our varsity contests in is the smallest in the conference and if it’s not the smallest it’s one of the two smallest and are junior high gym only has bleachers on one side and that’s four rows of bleachers and so trying to get fans in and out is just tough on game nights.”

He adds that other factors include school activities having limited space for practices along with youth activities run through the city that utilize their facilities.
