Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers girls golf played in day number 1 of the 3A girls golf tournament in Adel on Thursday, and the girls team is 10th after one day, shooting a team score of 447.

Monica Thomas was able to get the best score of the day for the Tigers, as she fired a +34 106 to lead the way for ADM. Cecilia Gardiner was able to tally the second best score with a mark of +38 110.

The chilly conditions and wet course caused some higher scores on the first day all around, with only 32 of the 76 golfers on the course to score a 99 or lower. Gilbert is the team leader after one day with a score of 348.

For ADM, they will look to take advantage of good conditions this morning, with day number 2 of the tournament to start this morning, with final results to be posted sometime this afternoon.
