The Dallas County Board of Supervisors discussed funding an EMT class at their regular meeting Tuesday.

The Board talked about providing EMT classes for $18,000, however they wanted to see about involvement from other governmental entities in the county. The Board was supportive of the idea but didn’t make any final decisions. Also, the Board discussed updating the Dallas County Hospital transport agreement from the original in 2001. The new language would add more flexibility to the agreement but no action was taken.

Finally, the Board approved the abatement of property taxes for mobile homes that have been destroyed or moved out of the county for $275 and approved the first of two required readings of proposed amendments to Chapter 45 Dallas County zoning ordinance which had the goal of cleaning up the industrial requirements when it relates to zoning. The second required reading will take place on June 21st at 9:30 a.m.
