Saydel rode the right arm of Dakota Lane Wednesday night as the Eagles remained perfect on the season defeating Perry 4-1 in Heart of Iowa softball action at the PAC.  The junior was dominant from the start, striking out 11 Perry batters while surrendering only one hit.  Maci Tunink pitched well for the Jayettes allowing only four hits and two earned runs over seven strong innings.  Karagyn Whelchel delivered Perry’s only RBI with a two out single in the 6th inning bringing in Kathryn West.

Perry falls to 3-4 on the season and 2-3 in conference play while Saydel jumps to 9-0 and 6-0 in HOI action.  Perry will travel to the North Des Moines Softball Complex tonight for a non conference game against Grandview Christian.
