This week’s Perry Farmers Market will be the first theme night of the year as the market will host Health and Wellness Night.
Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in Josh Davis Plaza will be Health and Wellness Night at the Perry Farmers Market and Perry Chamber of Commerce Director Lynsi Pasutti says the themed nights give the opportunity for special guests to meet the public.
“We will have folks from Dallas County Hospital, Perry Lutheran Homes, Dallas County Public Health, even SNAP Fitness, hopefully the rec center as well. Just different community members, chamber members, different entities that are going to be promoting health and wellness as the theme of the night along with all of our regular vendors as well.”
Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio there are the special themed nights once a month on the third Thursday of each month but there is almost always something special going on each Thursday during the farmers market.
“We have something going on every Thursday at the farmers market with the help of the library’s health steps program which is now on the second and fourth Thursday, we have started having food trucks on the first thursday and then the occasional fifth thursday we are also collaborating with Atelier at 1109 to have a kids activity.”
