
Greene County baseball dropped to 4-11 overall and 3-6 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play with a loss at home on Monday night to PCM (Monroe) by a 7-3 final. The Mustangs improved to 9-7 on the season and 7-4 in the league and the two teams split their two-game regular season series.
Joe Carey took the pitching loss, allowed five runs in five innings on six hits, six walks, and a batter hit by a pitch. Carey struck out six Mustangs. Kole Teeples threw the last two innings, giving up two runs on three hits, a walk, and one hit by pitch. The Rams had three errors and PCM had two.
Greene County had eight hits, all singles. Brayden Roberts had three hits with two from Bryce Stalder, and one each from Carey, Dakota Mobley, and Teeples. Gabe Ebersole and Teeples had runs batted in.
