
Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers softball played in their regional semifinal for Class 4A Region 2 in Adel, and the Tigers were able to survive and advance, defeating the Boone Toreadors 2-0 in a well pitched game. ADM was able to pick up their 30th win of the season.
The Tigers were able to score one run in the first inning when a hit from Aliya Yanga went off the glove of a Boone defender, allowing Olivia Tollari to score. The Tigers would scratch across the second run in the second inning, when Ella Grossman was able to hit an RBI single to make it a 2-0 game.
Yanga went five innings giving up zero runs and one hit while striking out eleven. Cameron Smith pitched two inning of scoreless relief striking out three to pick up the save.
The Tigers will be playing Carroll tomorrow night with the winner to go to Fort Dodge next week. First pitch will be at 7 pm in Adel, and you can listen to the game on True Country K1079, the KKRF app, and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
