2022 Greene County Fair Queen Hannah Curtis

Tomorrow is one of the main days at the Greene County Fair with lots of activities.

The festivities kick off with the 4-H/FFA Sheep Show at 8am in the show ring, followed by the Beef Pen of 3 Judging and the 4-H-FFA Herd Builder Judging at 9 and 10am, respectively. Then at 2:30pm will be the 4-H/FFA Goat Show in the show ring and the Pet Show will take place in Clover Hall at 4pm. The 4-H Fashion Show is slated for 5:30pm in Clover Hall.

Other evening activities include the beef barbecue with the Greene County Cattlemen’s Association in the North Hall at 5:30pm, along with musical entertainment with the Town and Country Band.

Greene County Fair Board President Conner Juergensen tells Raccoon Valley Radio about Friday night’s grandstand event.

“We’re really excited, we got a rodeo as always, but it is a new rodeo this year. We went with Wright Rodeo Company from Lucas, Iowa. Fantastic reviews, other independent fairs, county fairs, all over, great reviews from them. They’re just really, really easy to work with.”

General admission for the grandstand entertainment is $10. Juergensen adds before and during the rodeo there will be another new activity with an inflatable mechanical bull ride from 5:30-8:30pm right outside of the grandstands and it is free for anyone to try. Following the rodeo is the fireworks show. And don’t forget Raccoon Valley Radio’s Lil’ Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live from the fair tomorrow from 10am-6pm.
