Next week will feature a fun event in Perry that will allow people to get out and enjoy music in downtown Perry. 

The Perry Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 2nd Street Block Party from 5-10 p.m. Friday, July 22nd. The event will feature music from Standing Hampton and is for those 21-years-old and over with a $5 admission charge. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the event will also serve as a fundraiser. 

“This is what we hope to be a really great fundraiser for the Chamber for the various projects and programs that we host throughout the year. We are looking to upgrade our digital sign on Willis Avenue and 1st right next to the Welcome Depot so that is a big project that we are hoping to accomplish this year. So, this fundraiser will really help with that among other things that we do.”
