
Iowa Workforce Development announced more than $3.6 million in funding to grow and expand registered apprenticeship programs with some of the grants coming to a business headquartered in Dallas County.
The support for these programs is in the form of the Iowa Apprenticeship Act (15B) and Iowa Registered Apprenticeship Development Fund (15C). There is $3 million in annual funding from 15B and $760,000 annually with 15C.
Van Wall Equipment, which had its first ever location built in in Perry, was announced as a recipient of 15B funding in the amount of $21,958.92 that will go toward 44 apprentices and supports the training or ongoing costs within the registered apprenticeship program.
