Throughout the long season the Panorama Panthers Baseball team had the pleasure of playing a game underneath the lights at Principal Park in Des Moines.

The 2022 season saw the Panthers Baseball team travel throughout the state to competitions far and away including against the Martensdale-St Mary’s Blue Devils at Principal Park in Des Moines. Coach Brian Bahrenfuss says it was a good experience.

“That was something that all the guys will remember just being able to play on such a field, such a nice facility. Everybody was excited when we got the news that our athletic and Martensdale-St. Mary’s athletic director were talking about making this work. There was excitement in the early part of the new year as this was being talked about and discussed.”

Even though the outcome of the game wasn’t in the favor of the Panthers as the Blue Devils came away with a 4-1 victory, Bahrenfuss tells Raccoon Valley Radio it was an experience that everyone will remember after playing at Principal Park.

“To be able to walk out and play on that field was just memories that we will always have and we were blessed that we had the opportunity to do that.”

The Panthers Baseball team finished their season with an overall record of 7-17 and falling in the first round of districts to the Greene County Rams but they will be back in 2023 for another year of baseball.
