Thursday, July 14th

12:32am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of North Cedar Street.

1:00am: An officer located an Open Door at 501 Greenewood Road. The secured the building.

2:19am: A caller advised of a tree branch in the roadway near Elm and West South Streets. The officer removed the branch.

11:04am: An in- home nurse requested a Welfare Check in the 200 Block of South Georgia Street. The patient was not answering the door. Officers made entry and did not locate anyone inside.

2:52pm: Bill Hammell reported a Careless Driver on Hwy. 4, heading south into Jefferson. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

3:38pm: An officer located a Stray Dog in the 200 Block of South Chestnut Street. The officer located the owner and Denise Moranville of Jefferson was cited for, “Animal at Large Prohibited.”

5:26pm: An officer investigated an accident at Adams and Pinet Streets. A 2004 Subaru Forester, owned and operated by Megan Wright of Jefferson, was northbound on North Pinet Street. Wright did not yield at the intersection with Adams Street and struck another vehicle. The 2009 Toyota Camry was travelling westbound on West Adams and was owned by Lisa Minnehan and operated by Paige Bryson both of Churdan. Both vehicles were a total loss. Wright was cited for, “Fail to Yield to Vehicle on Right and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability – accident.
