While we are in the middle of the year here after the end of the Panorama Panthers Softball and Baseball teams seasons it’s time to take a look back at some of the best moments from Panthers athletics so far this year.

The beginning of this year was cool and wet and affected more than farmers getting into their fields as this year held the 2022 State Track and Field Meet which saw sophomore Jaidyn Sellers defend her 100m and 200m meter dash state titles and in the 100m dash she set a state meet record running a 12.13 and the old record was 12.14. Also, Sellers was able to defend her 200m dash title with a time of 25.04 which was a season best time for her as well.

While Sellers was able to defend her titles in the 100m and 200m dashed and repeat as a state champion there were also other Panthers who attended the 2022 State Track and Field Meet and they also came away with outstanding results.

The Panther girls also sent Zoey Hambleton, Grace Webner, Payton Beckman and Jaidyn Sellers to compete in the girls 800 sprint medley relay and they were able to put up a good performance to earn a third place finish with a time of 1:51.50. The same team of Hambleton, Webner, Beckman and Sellers ran the girls distance medley and were able to get a fifth place finish with a time of 4:17.99. The Panthers girls track and field team scored 30 team points and placed ninth as a team overall at the state meet this year.

For the boys track and field team Hunter Pauley was competing in the long jump and was able to finish in 20th in Class 2A with a distance of 19-11.75. The Panthers girls and boys track and field teams were successful during their time at the 2022 State Track and Field Meet this year.
