The National Weather Services is expecting temperatures in central Iowa to climb tomorrow into the high 90s.

Meteorologist Brooke Hagenhoff says most of the state will be in the upper 90s and feel like temperatures tomorrow will extend into the triple digits with some areas reaching 105. She notes people living in central Iowa will get a break from the exhausting heat by the end of the week.

“We do have some thunderstorms chances as we move into Saturday associated with the cold front and so by Sunday we are just looking at high temperatures returning back into the mid 80s so just a few more days of the heat and by Sunday we should have some relief.”

The Raccoon Valley Radio Severe Weather Action Team will provide live coverage any time there is a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning in Dallas, Guthrie or Greene counties until the severe weather has moved out of the listening area or has dropped below severe levels.
