
As we continue looking at the stats recorded by both baseball and softball players for the West Central Valley Wildcats today, we’ll start with freshman Tyson Partlow from the baseball team. He played in 23 games this season, starting in 17, recording 47 at bats, with 4 runs on 9 hits. He hit 7 singles and 2 doubles, with 8 RBI’s and 1 sacrifice bunt. Partlow was walked 4 times, and hit by a pitch once.
He also reached on errors 3 times, and was struck out 11 times, with a batting average of .191, an on base percentage of .269, and a slugging percentage of .234. Partlow went 1 of 1 on stolen base attempts, adding 19 assists, 17 put outs, finishing with a .766 fielding percentage.
In pitching stats, he recorded 21.1 innings pitched, a pitch count of 456, had 140 opponent at bats, and recorded a .271 opponent batting average. Opponents hit 38 times off Partlow, turning into 45 runs, and 26 earned runs. He walked 21 batters, hit 9, and struck out 16, giving him an ERA of 8.53.
The softball player we have for today is junior Tasha Williams. She played and started in all 37 games the Wildcats had, racking up 99 at bats, 27 runs, and 29 hits. She hit 28 singles and 1 double, recording 4 RBI’s, 7 sacrifice bunts, and was walked 5 times.
Williams also reached on errors 7 times and struck out 24 times, recording a batting average of .293, a .327 on base percentage, and a .303 slugging percentage. She was able to steal 15 bases on 16 attempts, 6 assists, and 40 put outs, finishing the season with an .868 fielding percentage.
