With the season over for the Panorama Panthers baseball team multiple seniors played their last game as a Panther and it’s time to see who should be returning to the diamond next season.

The season concluded with the Panthers Baseball team finishing with an overall record of 7-17 on the year and they will be looking to come back next season and get after it again in 2023 but they will be doing so without the help of Austin Block, Austin Wetzel, Brice Taylor and Jackson Peasley who played their last games this year.

Besides the four seniors on the team there was plenty of underclassmen as well as there were four freshman on the team along with five sophomores and there were four juniors as well who will be looking to step into that leadership position next year for Panthers baseball.

The freshman and sophomores on the team also saw plenty of playing time this year as for example sophomore Braylon Dawes took 78 trips to the plate which led the team in at-bats. Also, freshman AJ Draper took 45 at-bats and sophomore Hunter Dishman took 58 at-bats. Also, these players took turns from the mound this season as well and will bring that experience back next year.

While the season didn’t end the way they would have hoped falling in the first round of districts to the Greene County Rams by a score of 7-0, the Panthers baseball team still has plenty of positives to take away from this season, including a young core that should remain intact next year.
