Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers boys and girls cross country competed in the state cross country race on Saturday up in Fort Dodge, and both teams were able to find some nice results at the end of the season with the girls finishing 5th and the boys finishing 12th. The girls finished with 138 team points and the boys 264 team points.

The girls were able to get a good race out of senior Geneva Timmerman, who finish 4th with a time of 18 minutes 40 seconds in a quality race. Haley James was able to put up a 12th place finish, grabbing a time of 19 minutes 33 seconds, a good mark for the freshmen. Hannah Desmarais was able to finish 55th with a time of 20 minutes 41 seconds, and Paige Mattes was able to set a PR with a time of 20 minutes 42 seconds. Gracelyn Martens-Sinn was able to round out the scoring with a 79th place finish and a time of 21 minutes 1 seconds.

The boys were lead by Torin Timmerman, who put up a 29th place finish with a time of 16 minutes 58 seconds. Harrison Desmarais finishes 68th with a time of 17 minutes 33 seconds, Hunter Landphair 74th at 17 minutes 37 seconds, Issac Chapman grabs 83th at 17 minutes 43 seconds, and Keegan Holdmeyer 90th with a mark of 17 minutes 51 seconds.

The Tiger girls team will be losing only one senior off the roster that ran in Fort Dodge in Timmerman, who wraps up a tremendous four year career at ADM that saw multiple top finishes in the state run. Harrison Desmarais and Sam Peters graduate on the boys side, but both teams return quality runners as they conclude a successful 2022 season.
