The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center cross country teams accomplished a lot both boys and girls and Head Coach Colin Shawgo praised his seniors for growing the program.

Shawgo says that the seven seniors departing his program were a memorable group that includes Justin Davis, Tyconder Ellis, Justin Reinhart, Jackson Sloss, Alex Spack, Taylor Carlson and Kiersten Knobbe. Shawgo tells Raccoon Valley Radio Sports that these seniors delt with so much with the pandemic and canceled practices and seasons.

” Speaker1: And every time every time these kids stepped up to the plate through that adversity and really brought a lot of success to our program. And so, I mean, that just kind of exemplifies what this senior group has brought to AC GC cross-country is this. Never quit, Never backed down. Always keep fighting. Always keep grinding. Always keep working to be successful. And I couldn’t have asked for a better group of kids to have coached the past four years. And we’re really sad to see them leave.”

Shawgo points out that he will have one of his largest senior classes next year with five boy seniors and four girl seniors.
