The Panora City Council met in their regular session Monday.
In a public forum, a resident brought up using utility terrain vehicles and all-terrain vehicles (UTV/ATV) on city streets. The Council then approved a resolution for the final plat for Dream Acres and a resolution to accept the street improvement project and real estate gift agreements with Dream Acres and the Panorama School District.
They also approved the 2021-22 Annual Urban Renewal report as presented, appropriating funds from the Urban Renewal Tax Revenue for tax increment financing projects for next fiscal year, along with the 2022 fiscal year Street Financial report, and an intergovernmental transfer of public funds to the Iowa Department of Human Services and Panora EMS.
The Council also approved a resolution for a lease agreement for a Skid Loader from Lee White for snow removal, the Annual Financial Report, and a water user agreement for Sarah Burkhard. They also approved pay rates for Panora EMS, including $100 per shift for paid staff when on call and $50 per hour for salaried staff if they are called in. .
