The Iowa Print Sportswriters Association has released its All-State football selections from the recently completed season. Greene County Senior Richard Daugherty was named to the Class 2A first All-State team with juniors Noah Cornell and Nathan Behne on the second unit, Cornell in the offensive line and Behne as a kicker. This was the first time this group chose only two All-State teams per class instead of three. Daugherty was on the third team as a kick returner by the same organization while this is the first All-State honor for Cornell and Behne.

Greene County won Class 2A District 8 by going 5-0 for the second straight season. Overall, Coach Caden Duncan’s team was 8-2 and was ranked in the top 10 at the end of the season.
