Caden Duncan has been Greene County’s head football coach for five seasons and in that time he’s coached three Division I athletes, as well as others who have gone on to college athletic careers at smaller schools.
Tyler Miller is the starting left offensive tackle for the Iowa State Cyclones. Tyler’s younger brother Jesse is a Greene County senior who has committed to play football at the U. of South Dakota, and Carter Morton is an All-Conference track & field athlete at Northern Iowa.
Starting with Tyler Miller, coach Duncan said, “It’s pretty neat getting to watch Tyler play for the Cyclones every Saturday and hopefully we’ll get to continue doing that. I look forward to be able to watch Jesse Miller in his career at South Dakota. And there’s Carter Morton, who I’ve been able to see in some of his track meets for UNI. It’s all really exciting and really cool to know that all those people came from Greene County.” Duncan added that current and future Ram athletes have those three and others to emulate as they set their goals as athletes and students.
