It’s the final day of the Winter Festival Celebration of Trees in Jefferson.
From 10am-5pm everyone is invited to the Jefferson Elks Lodge to enjoy a variety of activities. Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Executive Director Matt Wetrich says there will be lots of kid games and crafts, along with hot cocoa and cookies served, hayrides around the square from 2-5pm and Santa will make an appearance from 2-4pm. Additionally, Wetrich says there is a friendly contest of 43 decorated trees that people can vote on.
“You get to vote on your favorite, I think two or three favorites, and then there’s prizes for the winning trees. I hear there’s going to be an elf on hand, handing out Chamber Bucks, so you might randomly win some Chamber Bucks just for showing up. We’re really excited about how many people are participating with their trees this year. It’s kind of a mix of businesses, and organizations, and just private individuals.”
Wetrich adds that everything is free today for the 3rd Annual Winter Festival Celebration of Trees.
