The Panorama boys and girls basketball teams would hit the hardwood against Madrid on Friday night.
The girls started the action. They were coming into this game 1-0 after a big win over IKM-Manning. The Panthers were taking on a Madrid team that was 1-1 coming into this contest. Panorama’s defense was the story of this game. Keeping the Tigers to single digits in each quarter. This would give Panorama the blow out win 54-25. The Panthers will move on to 2-0 on the season.
The boys were coming into their game with an 0-1 record after a 66-56 loss to IKM-Manning. The Panthers were in another tough battle. Madrid had a slight lead after the first quarter 17-12. The Tigers would come out and have a huge 2nd quarter posting 25 points and giving them the 42-26 halftime lead. That would be enough to give Madrid the win, 68-55.
Both teams will be back in action on Monday. It’s a makeup game against Greene County that was originally scheduled last Tuesday. The girls will tip things off at 6pm and the boys will follow at roughly 7:30.
