The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library has several fun events planned for December.
From now until the end of December, the library is conducting a food drive for the Guthrie Center Food Pantry. Non-perishables and unexpired goods are what the library’s looking for, but there are some items that are especially needed. A list of those Items can be found below. There will be an author meet and greet on December 10th from 11am to 1pm, featuring M Wayne Clark.
The Between the Covers Book Club will be meeting on December 13th at 3pm to discuss this month’s book, “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman. The cookbook club will meet on December 15th at 6:30pm, with their theme for the month being cookies. Bring three dozen cookies, along with the recipe, and enjoy the baked goods others bring in. Also on the 15th, there will be a card making class led by Judy Zimmerline. The class will take place at 9am, and cost $5, with all the supplies provided.
Hot/cold cereal, water bottles, juice boxes, rice, pasta, canned tomatoes, canned sauce, milk, chips, bagged snacks and oatmeal.
