This Thursday the public is invited to hear some holiday music from young musicians.

The Greene County Middle School Band Winter Concert will start with the sixth grade band at 6:30pm, followed by the seventh and eighth band at 7pm in the middle school auditorium. Band Director Bob Palmer tells Raccoon Valley Radio the 38 sixth graders will perform two songs, while the 66 students that are in the seventh and eighth grade band will also play two songs.

Palmer points out the students have been rehearsing since November 2nd and the best part for him on their improvement as individual bands is going from saying, “this is impossible,” to “ok, this isn’t that bad.” 

The Thursdays concerts are free and open to the public.
