The Desoto Intermediate Student Council started a food drive in late November in honor of Giving Tuesday. 

Students were encouraged to bring non-perishable items to their classrooms from November 29th through December 6th for a chance at a grand prize of participating in a dodgeball tournament along with supporting the Adel Food Pantry. The Student Council recently counted up the donations and the amount raised tallied nearly 3,000 items with the total weight of 2,305 pounds.
