The Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension has announced some events that they’ll be having in the first part of January.

The Extension Office will be helping with the Scratch Cupcakes 4H Fundraiser. The fundraiser will take place from December 26th to January 13, 2023, and proceeds will be used to help with 4H membership fees. The 2023 Beef Weigh-in will take place on January 7th, and be held at the Guthrie Livestock Auction from 9am to noon.

The Extension office will also continue offering private pesticide applicator renewal courses. On January 11th, there will be two available classes, one from 1:30-3:30pm, and the other from 6:30-8:30pm. Those interested can pre-register by calling the Extension at the number below.
