The Perry Chamber of Commerce recently tried out a new event and it turned out to be a success.

Executive Director Lynsi Pasutti says that they held the Perry’s Peppermint Walk, a two day event, from December 8th through the 10th which encouraged shopping at Perry Businesses. . Pasutti notes that they had 26 businesses participate along with 105 Peppermint Walk cards that were stamped by at least three businesses and turned in for a chance to win one of the five grand prizes. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio this is an event they will bring back next December.

“100 or so people out and about shopping over those three days, I would say is pretty successful. Each of them stopping and purchasing at three different locations and a wide variety looking through the cards. They’re going grocery shopping, they’re going out to eat, they’re actually shopping and in some of the local shops. So a good variety, easy point of entry as far as dipping your toe in and getting out and doing things. So talking to the merchants group, everyone was very pleased with the overall weekend and had great sales.”

The Perry Chamber of Commerce has named the five winners and the prizes they were awarded which can be found below this story.
