Dallas Center-Grimes girls basketball squad headed into break with a sour taste after a loss to Johnston (58-51) but they have some time to focus on themselves during winter break.
The Lady Mustangs sit at the very top of the Little Hawkeye Conference with (7-2) overall record and (3-0) conference record. The team is doing things quite well on the offensive end that includes scoring the ball at a clip of 55 points per game and shooting an average of over 40 percent from the field per game while sharing the basketball with 14 assists per game. On the defensive end they are only allowing 40 points per game and grabbing 14 steals. Head Coach Adam Jones has confidence in his team going into break.
“We don’t need to make any changes, just get better in certain areas and I like the team we’ve got.”
Lady Mustangs will enter the new year of 2023 facing off against Norwalk on the road and that game can be heard on Raccoon Valley Radio.com under the KDLS-2 tab.
