Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers athletics in 2022 was able to find a very special year in multiple sports, and this week, we break down the accomplishments of various programs.
ADM Tigers boys and girls track and field were able to put together a memorable 2022 year, one that was filled with state champions in both boys and girls events. In the state meet in Des Moines last May, the Tiger girls were able to finish with a 2nd place finish and the boys a 13th place team finish.
It was a banner year for multiple Tigers on the girls side as state champions, with the 4×200 team finishing with a time of 1 minute 42 seconds. That championship team included Makayla Crannell, Jada Grove, Hallie Henfling, and Olivia Tollari. The same quartet were able to win the 4×100 meter race with a time of 48.53 seconds. The girls were also able to find top three finishes with Tollari finishing second in the long jump, London Warmuth able to finish 3rd in the high jump, Henfling finishing 3rd in the 100 meter dash, and Geneva Timmermann 3rd in both the 1500m and 3000m runs.
Brevin Doll was able to grab a second consecutive state championship in the 200 meter run with a time of 21.89 seconds. Doll was also able to finish second in the 100 meter dash, putting together a tremendous state meet for the second consecutive year.
It was a tremendous year for Tigers track and field in a lot of events, and with the majority of the group back for this springs team, they are hoping to find some similar success in the future.
