Dallas Center-Grimes basketball collects two wins over Pella on Friday night.

The Lady Mustangs started the game on fire on both ends of the court outscoring the Dutch in the first quarter 15 to 2 and then they would score another 14 points in the second quarter to go up 29 to 9 at halftime. The scoring would not end there and DCG put up 20 points in the second half and cruise to a 49 to 34 victory. Emma Minor led the way on the stat sheet with 20 points and Finley Fitzgerald would score 10. DCG girls basketball improves to (11-2) on the season and (7-0) in conference play.

The Mustangs boys would find themselves in a hole down early to Pella 11 to 1 just five minutes into the ball game. A timeout from Coach Joel Rankin would spark DCG to a deficit at the end on quarter number one 13 to 9. They would go on to outscore the Dutch 19 to 17 in the second quarter to be down 2 at halftime, 30 to 28. The second half would be dominated by DCG scoring 30 points and only allowing 17 from Pella which would end the Mustangs two game losing streak and the final score would be 65 to 47. Dallas Center-Grimes boys basketball is now (7-3) on the season and (3-3) in conference play. Both Mustang boy and girl basketball teams will now have a date at Ankeny High School on Tuesday which can be heard live on KDLS-2.
