It’s been a few months since the Hummingbirds came to visit Stuart, and the Stuart Chamber is pleased with how things went.
Chamber Member and Marketing Mainstreet Owner Nate Westre tells Raccoon Valley Radio that several businesses in the downtown area saw these social media influencers visit their stores, and were able to interact with some of them. Not all the Hummingbirds told businesses who they were, but posted their experiences about the businesses on social media instead.
Westre describes the feedback the Hummingbirds had.
“Yeah, the Hummingbirds campaign was great. I think (the) response from business owners has been fantastic. The response from the Hummingbirds, those influencers, has been great. We had over 36 pieces of content that they created, and the best part about it is their reactions were fantastic. And they have a combined over 32,000 followers on social media. So for a relatively small investment, we were able to get a tremendous amount of reach across central Iowa. And remember, the thing with these Hummingbirds is that their followers are very invested and very engaged.”
Westre says that the Chamber is looking at repeating this event again in the future, whether they’re able to get the Hummingbirds involved or not. With the amount of positive feedback from everyone, the Chamber wants to try and continue to bring those experiences to the city, and hopefully grow the businesses already here, and bring in some new ones as well.
