The Perry School District got school started back up on January 4th and Superintendent Clark Wicks discusses the start to the second semester.

Wicks says there was a problem with student sickness going into winter break but it’s good to have students back healthy and eager to learn. Wicks tells Raccoon Valley Radio the biggest adjustment in the second semester for teachers and students is getting used to a new schedule.

“Coming back from vacation. It’s a short week, but for many people, it seems long as we start to get our juices flowing, get our mindset where it needs to be, people getting used to a new routine, but that’s always the way that it is and it needs to always be that way. And it’s been a good start and things are looking good and it’s, ‘hey, we’ve had great weather too.’”

The Perry School District won’t have another interruption in their schedule until spring break from March 11-15th.
