Stuart may seem like a small town to some, but it’s slowly growing, and it’s starting to show.

Stuart Economic Development Director Matt Funk says that there are a few projects going on to help Stuart grow both economically and population-wise, one of which is that Kwik Star is looking to open a location in town. He mentions that they haven’t purchased the ground yet, but have presented a site plan, and have been working diligently on a proposal to present to the City Council.

Funk tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Kwik Star has a reputation for putting things together in a way that makes everyone happy.

“They are a very thorough company. They don’t put the cart before the horse. They do a lot of good planning. They have been great to work with, just great to work with.”

Funk adds that he’s spoken to other communities that have worked with Kwik Star, and they’ve all had positive things to tell him.
