The public is invited to enjoy some homemade chili and select their favorites during a special event at the Rippey Library.

The Chili Cook Off is today from 11am-1pm at the Rippey Community Room. The menu includes chili, along with cinnamon rolls, coffee and cold beverages are available until it is gone. Prizes will be awarded according to popular vote, which will be done by “Kasting Your Kernel.” Organizers say the prizes include various kitchen items that were donated. 

Free-will donations will be accepted with all proceeds going toward the Rippey Library Summer Reading Program.
