A music group is going to make their way to Perry this weekend. 

Jake Doty and the Swensongs is a group from Boone that plays a wide variety of recognizable songs from artists in country, classic rock and pop. The band will play at 2pm on today at the Perry Performing Arts Center. Chairperson of the Perry Fine Arts Cathy Clark is excited for this concert because it features pop music which is different for them. 

“We’ve heard Dave (Swenson) play in a number of variety of ways and we know he’s so good that we just wanted more good music.” 

Perry Fine Arts funds these concerts from donations and will have the opportunity for attendees to give a free-will donation before and after the event.
