
The Jefferson City Council will meet tomorrow night.
The Council will hold three public hearings, including one for the maximum property tax levy, the city hall entrance plans and specifications, and the status of funded activities for the upper story project at 123 North Chestnut Street. The Council will then consider approving each of those resolutions following their respective hearings.
Additionally, the Council will consider for approval to move forward with drafting an amendment to allow all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) within city limits, along with the third reading of a revised ordinance to increase sewer rates, a purchase agreement for property at 103 East Adams Street, a service agreement for monthly office software and technology services, and an agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for $1.5 million for funding for the Jackson bridge project. They will also consider for approval an addendum to the engineer service agreement for the Russell Street water main improvement project, a professional service agreement for the construction phase of the wastewater treatment plant improvement project, an ordinance for the creation of an animal shelter board, setting the 2024 fiscal year budget workshop and the 2023 annual appointments.
The meeting will take place in person and electronically at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
